quite disappointing, but still wearAug 16, 2010

I ordered 2 of these - one for myself and another for my sister as a small present. They looked reasonable for the money and I thought they'd make a sweet memento. Would never have bought even one in a shop having seen the product. Regardless of quite reasonable price on Amazon, I'm disappointed as:
- the look is much less polished than on the picture, crystals have a messy looking setting.
- I'd liked to have the product description state more clearly that "silver" only refers to the color (and the product is rhodium plated), I don't remember it from when making purchase. However, it's quite prominent in the description now, so that's either been fixed already or I missed it despite usually reading product descriptions religiously.
- I strongly advise not to have it sent directly to someone as a gift - while the gift box itself it pretty enough, the brooch is in it still attached to a plastic display base, making it look cheap.

aving said that, they still do make a sweet memento and we both wear them.
