I can't vouch for the longevity or possible tarnishing because I just got this.
That said, it's very pretty! The chain is short (16 inches probably) but thick and smooth. I like my chains longer, so I'll give that to my daughter.
The starfish is about an inch in diameter and very sparkly! Looks a lot more pricey than it is. Definitely worth 17 dollars! :)

I bought this to give to my niece for Christmas. Quick shipment. It looks better in person than in the picture. More sparkly and expensive looking...hard to believe it was less than $20. My niece loves it.

This necklace is very cute and sparkly and the chain is good quality...but the charm is WAY smaller than I was expecting. Since the photo is obviously enlarged and there's no dimensions given in the description, it's hard to tell how big it will be. I will be keeping it - it's just more delicate and not as stand-out a piece as I thought it would be.

This necklace is beautiful. I already ordered starfish necklaces from another store and had to send them back. When I opened this necklace I almost cried because it was exactly what I was looking for! The other reviews are 100% accurate and I would highly recommend this product.

The chain looks very good and slick (not like those cheap chains); it's not too long either
